We always learn from our weakness

In this second module of the Etwinning MOOC, I wrote those words:

 "From my point of view, there are only two reasons to learn: necessity or passion. When we need to do something, we learn through the process. When we love something, we learn about it. PBL may mix both, necessity and passion. 
I've been trying to use this methodology for several years, also using cooperative work, but it is difficult in some ways. For example, it is not easy to get all students involved in the same way and that they develop their roles. For me, it is also difficult to assess them in a creative way, more than oral presentations, short tests, self-assessment and co-assessment rubrics. How could I improve the assessment?"

As I said, it is difficult that all your students get involved in the projects. In the shared MOOC list, I found some resources that could help me with this issue, such as ICT tools that may motivate pupils: Scratch, GoAnimate, Stop Motion StudioCreativity... I also found interesting websites that provide resources to assess in a more efective way, such as https://list.ly/list/19BN-evaluation.

In conclusion, it is important to be realistic and to notice your weaknesses to look for resources and tools that may be used to improve them.

Planning my e-Twinning project

In this third module of the MOOC, I designed my first e-Twinning project. In my school, students have been planning the end-of-the-school trip for several years and it has been very successful. this time, we have been doing a cooperative project, using the puzzle technique.  For this reason, I think it is a very good idea to develop it with an international school. Planning an activity

ACTIVITY: Accomodation Brief description: students need to look for accomodation for their trip to the partner's country. Students from Barcelona will propose three good places to stay in their city, taking into account the location close to the school, the prize and the service. They will propose them in the blog we share. Then, students from the other European country will write an email to those accomodations in which they will ask for availability, prize, and other information they need. Then, the other European country will do the same. When they have the final accomodation, teachers will book it. Then, students will present it to their parents, together with the rest of parts of the projects, in a final presentation. Main objectives: - To write an email in English. - To look for information about accomodation in a real context. - To cooperate to find accomodation in both countries.
